While the week of March 20th had other games played on it 3 months ago, there was one event that week that outshined the rest: The Twitch Rivals Pokemon Showdown, featuring Jon's team of Garganacl, Salamence, Jolteon, Skeledirge, Slowbro, and Hawlucha!

This post is relevant for two reasons:
1. We got a sneak peek at the Scarlet/Violet DLC in today's direct, which, of course, was discussed a lot on tonight's stream.
2. Guess who's playing Violet again after not touching the game since December...

Hahaha, I love it when my brain says, "You're too busy to play vidya, wait until the summer" when I'm busy with school, and since I started playing the game again last weekend, I somehow managed to beat 3 gym leaders in the span of 2 days. You were right, Jon! This game is a curse for people with people who are so easily distracted and I both love and hate it! I'm glad the Tera raids help speed up grinding by a long shot. Hoping I can complete the game before July because I'm planning on playing Earthbound for the first time this Summer!

It’s been like forever since I posted anything on the Booru. I’ve just had a bit of art block and kept missing streams. So in favor of my return Im just gonna doodle as many AltJons as I can before I went to sleep. The only two I drew for now is Jon himself and Jen. For Jen’s design, since she’s mainly seen as a simple gender swap, I wrapped the usual jacket around her waist, cropped the shirt and pants, and gave her a ponytail. Was going to make it a high pony but that would look too similar to Jontae so low pony for the win. There’s nothing much else to say about it, just a different character with the same color palette and I ended up making Jon and Jen look like twins. Also gave Jen a tattoo cuz idk I just felt like it and want to design more characters with tattoos

Do I actually for a second think Chugga won't be brainstorming ways to reference it? No, I am not so naive as to think he won't also just try to shoehorn it anyway.

Would it be funny if I called it? Yes.

I didn't planned to post this today nor draw this in general, but I lost internet earlier, and I needed something to draw with my new markers then I saw this wip I did back on April of PeachJon, and with today's direct (gee, I wonder what I was most excited for today lol). so I decided to finish at least this part of the page with my attempt of said PeachJon and my, I guess Mario alt from my friend's group; The Joker Squad AU, yes, I am so bias for her and I love her so much, fuck you (I kid'ng, please don't be mad at me)

And now for the third TRG member, and as soon as I had this idea I knew exactly what monster I wanted to draw Tim as. This is a kind of obscure monster from DQV known as a "Foetid Ferret", and yes, the fart cloud is part of its original art and not my addition. (It's actually a reference to a Japanese expression, "The last fart of a trapped weasel", meaning a final, desperate attempt to get out of trouble. The more you know!)

So FoeTim Ferret then? Kind of a reach...

Also, side note - TIL it's kinda hard to draw a weasel wearing a Jedi robe

As the topic of Jingle All The Way came back up, remember when I told you about a late relative of mine, Scott Workman being the stunt double for Arnold while in the Turboman suit after you streamed it for Movie Night? Well I uncovered a picture of him on the set with the suit on and a picture of him with my mom (RIP) from around the same time. It's a damn shame I never got to meet him before he passed.

Proton Slime draws near!

Glad to hear you list the new DQ Monsters as a game you were excited for at the start of the stream, as that was the big highlight for me. So glad to see my favorite series is getting a stateside release after importing the 3DS games for years, and just in time for the 25th anniversary! So in honor of that, have a Proton Slime.

I do have some ideas for other TRG members-as-monsters drawings, but I'm not sure if that qualifies as being relevant enough for an upload to the booru since no DQ games have been played recently (unless I win Power Trip tonight bwahaha), so I'll defer to you and/or mods on that point.

Tallness is purely based on how tall the other entity is, in this case Rina is only a chibi (No actual height is known, curse my laziness) but she is only a slight bit taller then the lil' bub (small sprite wise, Rina is only about 10 pixels taller).

Also, SMRPG REMAKE WHOOOOOOOOO, I was hype for the Live a Live remake (which I still need to get) last year but SMRPG is one of my all time fav's, neat direct but not a lot I'm interested in.

I also can guess that when TRG get to play the new Mario game that Emile will likely be a very specific character...
