In honor of Jewker's victory as Celeste here's my friend and co-worker at the local Zoo Dr. Who the Eastern Screech Owl. one of North America's smallest owls they generally stand about 9.4 inches tall with a max wingspan around 2 inches. They can vary in color from grey to red depending on their habitat. With years of practice I have managed to master the Eastern Screech Call so these days Dr. Who and I often chatter back and forth behind the scenes. He's an adorable angel.

One final fact, the Eastern Screech has an interesting behavior, it wil sometimes pick up small snakes and bring them to it's nest. The owl does not eat the snake but instead keeps it as a nestmaid. The snake eats bugs and other vermin keeping the nest clean and the owl protects the snake in exchange until it leaves.
