Fun Fact: Color Dreams becoming Wisdom Tree originally started out as a joke. When pressed for ideas on how to get around Nintendo forcing retailers from selling their games, an employee offhandedly joked making religious games.
While meant as a joke, the folks at Color Dreams realized they had uncovered an untapped market; Christian book stores. Nintendo's embargo didn't reach Christian book stores, so they had free reign over that market. For better or worse, this saved Color Dreams from bankruptcy.
And the most shocking thing is, they're still around. They've made a plug-N-play system featuring all their NES games and the DOS ports of the NES games are available in a collection on Steam.
