Bummed that Sweet Home didn't win, but that doesn't mean I can't share some interesting facts about it. RE1 was originally meant to be a remake of Sweet Home, however, a combination of not owning the Sweet Home license anymore and the desire to incorporate things that they couldn't do on the Famicom. Despite this, elements of Sweet Home permeated the rest of the franchise, from the quick time events in RE4 to the plotline of a film crew going to an abandoned house in RE7.
Also, as seen here, the film has been given a US home media release, complete with subtitles, so...spooky Movie Night?
