Since Jon wanted to show it off, but I didn’t have it in the booru, here is my first cosplay I ever did. I remember it all so well. April Fool’s Day 2017. Misfortune Cookie stream. Tony Hawk’s Underground 1 is chosen. And the man, the myth, the legend, Dr. Smack Daddy Smurf was created by Jon’s hands.
As the character was being made, Jewker says, “Next con you go to, Jon, I hope you run into someone dressing up as this guy.” And at one point as I was watching the highlight for like the 100th time, I thought to myself, “Wait… I COULD DO THIS! I WILL DO IT!” So honestly, if it weren’t for Jewker, I would not have cosplayed as this guy in May 2017 (less than two months after Dr. Smack Daddy Smurf was created) or any of the other characters I did in 2019.
Also, a fun story. I didn’t put the mustache on myself until I was able to spot you in the crowd, Jon. Once I did, I ducked into a corner and put it on and THEN walked up to you to see your reaction. And your immediate response was, “I have to hug you.” That is a moment I will treasure for the rest of my life.
