Shoot the core!
For context, there's a series of Yugioh cards that are literally just Gradius bosses (BES stands for Bacterium Empire Ship I believe), and using a card-maker thing was within my skillset, so hey-presto. I'm sure it has no practical uses whatsoever, but look at those flame jets!
In the future, the Bacterium Empire might want to stick to its own ship design. Even if they do have extremely obvious weak points.
