The Pajama Sam series was one of my favorites as a kid and I still have the CD-ROMs of them from back then. Two of them were gifts from my late Grandmother and the third one I think I got at a Zany Brainy (defunct toy store in the US aimed at "smart" kids with more puzzle type stuff).
They had some clever writing, vibrant worlds, and just enough randomization to make repeat playthroughs unique. Glad to see the series getting some love tonight, and hope it gets revisited someday on stream!
