Hey Jon! Did you ever think that someone would be crazy enough to have a Barbie doll cosplaying as the RosaJon from trg colo? It’s currently in the works right now but I wanted to show what I’ve done so far (sorry for the bad pic quality). I’m not sure of when the next update will be ‘cause a little known indie game called Tears of the Kingdom will have me preoccupied as well as *possibly* attending my first con, SGDQ 2023, towards the end of May. I hope to finish the doll at least within a year if [JINX REDACTED]. FYI, call me Sparkie.
Question for you Jon. Why the curls? They were one of the most tedious parts of making the wig. I was mumbling under my breath “why Jon, why?”, while I was working with curls for the first time in my art endeavors. Oh, and let me know if I got anything wrong, this was my first time making an anime-type hairstyle.
The wig cap is reused fabric covered in white craft glue for stability and to keep its shape. The hair is made from taking acrylic yarn and brushing it with a pet brush before straightening the fiber with a flat iron. I had curled the yarn by wrapping it around an old tv antenna and setting the curl by applying heat to the antenna with the flat iron.
