So what I love about Dark Samus that should be obvious at this point in Prime 2 is that she doesn't really care about revenge. Only attacking when Samus corners her while she's trying to get phazon.
All she really wants is the all you can eat phazon buffet that is Dark Aether. She is literally power hungry.
