So, I didn't think I'd be doing this again, but between the Day 5 drawing prompt, and you talking about your mom believing that dreams can manifest in reality... Well, I thought I'd take some time to introduce myself properly!

Hi, I'm Myra (pronounced Mih-ra, like a Bostonian saying, "Mirror" - which yes, does mean that my user name is a bit of a play on words). I'm a middle aged trans woman who started transitioning a bit over a year ago - and am absolutely loving the new me! Not so great at art - as y'all have seen - but I am quite creative in other endeavors (particularly painting miniatures - and yes, I know that is something that's only acceptable on very particular streams - and cooking). I love watching the VODs on Youtube, and occasionally comment as MagiusDel or Magius del Cotto (my pseudonym from long, LONG before I started transitioning). Yes, it is (mostly) based on Latin (it was supposed to mean Magic of the Court - but I got the last word wrong, so it's, "Magic of the CAT") - and no, I'm not going to feminize it, because the feminine form of Magius is Maga, and, well...

Anyways, that's the crash course on me - but that's not the only thing I wanted to talk about. Knowing me, this next bit is going to be rather extensive, so feel free to skim and summarize (or just read it for yourself).

You see, I have a rather... interesting relationship between dreams and things that happen in my life, too. I've also had some moderate success with dream interpretation - and I know enough about them to know that they NEVER are what they appear to be on the surface. They can be extremely insightful in what's going on in your life - but they are so subjective and so influenced by the emotions that you experience within the dream that there's really no way to interpret them accurately without either excrutiating detail with any degree of reliability. It can be done, but you have to know the person REALLY well, and understand how they view the world around them on a deep, personal level AND know how they felt about each element in the dream to understand what the dream meant for them. It's anything but easy.

Now, that said, I have a rather... odd quirk where things that I have seen in my dreams end up happening in real life, years or even DECADES later. The first time I remember this happening was with the movie Sphere - some years earlier, I'd had a dream that exactly matched up with one of the scenes in the movie. The most memorable one I had was when I was playing Metroid Prime and entered into the Magmoor Caverns room where you first encounter the flying Space Pirates, which, again, matched up perfectly with a dream I'd had 5-6 years beforehand. Most recently - just a month ago, in fact, the audiobook I was listening to had a rather significant plot element where a dragon was bribed to harass another family with apples - absolutely a bizzarre and unusual twist, but which matched up perfectly with a dream I'd had previously (I think 2-3 years ago).

But, here's the thing... These connections are always for things that ultimately don't matter. They're for games I'm playing, books I'm reading, or movies I'm watching. It's just a weird little quirk I have that reassures me that things are going the way they're expected to go, if not necessarily the way they SHOULD go - but that's it. Nothing world shattering or even personally relevant - just a weird little quirk that helps set me apart.

And, on the subject of dreams... I ended up with a bit of an odd one last night. While Cherry is making the rounds in everyone else's dreams, TRG ended up in mind. I was hosting the group in my house (not my ACTUAL house, but a big old fashioned country manor sort of thing), and, well, things were a bit chaos. I don't remember what everyone was up to - I think I was trying to manage feeding everyone, Tim was busy trying to cover some of the air vents because too much noise was carrying through them, and Emile was doing his best to distract me. I don't remember you showing up in the dream - but there was a lot of setup work going on, and I have a feeling you were off doing that.

Really not much more to the dream, really - just a homorously odd twist on the dreams that are going around right now.
