I was worried that this one would be a pain but once I got this idea it became a breeze. I'd give an explanation on the lore with these two but that may take up to much time. In short they're two lovebird humans that met in rather strange circumstances... If you want more info read the lore in the following post (or do your usual thing of holding on it so people who are interested can pause to read it.)

While the story these two are a part of takes place between 2089-2090, to explain their appearances first and how they're both humans we need to go back to 2020- sorry, 2012, where in their time line Covid came early but... it was stranger than expected... Differenza (As it would later be called) was a bizarre strain of disease that was immune to sight from the human Eye or X-rays while dormant. Then, whenever the virus feels like it- usually between development in the womb and before the age of 25- the virus will activate and give the person sick with it some form of superpower/mutation. The range can be easy as a change in hair color or a specific allergy or change in taste buds to the likes of changing you into a spider made out of bones that can manipulate blood and hop between dimensions. So in these two instances, Nekaui ended up with a square head, square eyes, and a few cat like features, Lemmie eneded up as a 2ft 10in Lemmur boi.
Now for the lore specific to them, Nekaui is a recent highschool graduate at 18 who's trying to recover from a rather... uh... "Open" life style that she was blackmailed into by her sister in the 10th grade. Now that she's able to leave that school and her sister she's been trying to clean up her act and be less promiscuous, although some habits still live on in toned down and more healthy ways if that makes sense?
Anyway, moving onto Lemmie who came from a formerly high wealth company that was keeping afloat due to some... shady business deals, one day almost getting fully eradicated by a spider made out of bones that can manipulate blood (Hey that's familiar). Out of his family, Lemmie was the only one saved thanks to the safety of a "Guardian Scarf", which was a scarf made out a living material similar to Life Fibers that is exceptionally rare. After trying to remain in hiding from the beast, Nekaui and her land lord came over to see what happened with Lemmie's father, a friend of the landlord. While investigating their mansion, Nekaui finds Lemmie trembling in the corner of the building and instantly falls for him in a more cutesy way than romantic or sexual. Following one last confrontation against the monster and seeing that Lemmie was the only survivor, Nekaui and the Landlord decide it's best to take Lemmie to somewhere safer incase that monster comes back. While living with Nekaui, the two end up having a give and take in terms of a relationship. Lemmie is challenged to stand up for himself more and more and eventually ditch the scarf that was being controlling and slightly manipulative towards him, while Nekaui tries to meet Lemmie's preferences which help speed up her recovery process.
There's like, way more shit that happens with these two in the story like the scarf and Nekaui's sister being able to convince a police department to arrest Nekaui for S-Assault and Nekaui even giving up her own leg to save Lemmie/get revenge for someone almost killing him, but that would take to long to explain.
