Yeahhhhhhh... this took way longer than it should have.

I'm sorry I took so long getting back to you with this series, but truth be told, I got cold feet trying to think of how to approach the 2012 version of April. I knew I couldn't do justice trying to replicate the 3D shading and style of the characters (and I'd get bored trying), sooooooo I... cheated. Kind of.

First of all, this art style IS based on official material, but it's based on this weird, Halloween flash game released by Nick called Trick or Treat Tussle.

Secondly, I wound up having to resort to concept art of April for the 2012 show to get some direction on how to handle the hair. There aren't many visually-interesting human characters in the show, and even among the ones that don't have super-forgettable looks, their hairstyles are very streamlined with not much going on (which makes sense for a TV show, but not what I want for Rosa).

Lastly, while I know there's plenty of ninja characters in the show as it is, I decided this time to give Miss O'Jon a teensy-but-personal razzle dazzle. Let's just say Rosa Hayabusa would approve of that scarf.

Expect Rise Rosa soon! I'll have already started sketching her as of the time I'm typing this, so fingers crossed you'll see her before the end of this stream?
