Enter Jonathan Rose Wheeler, a capable soldier in service of her homeland. Raised in the space regiment, she lived a strict yet worldly life. After serving many battles and earning several awards, she was mysteriously discharged. She disappeared from note before returning once again alongside an unlikely ally, Reese Botnik Dressler, otherwise know as the mercenary for hire Lucahjin. Together they formed an elite force, known for causing significant destruction and disruption with the fewest casualties. They would end their careers as mercenaries early after arriving to a mission on planet UHF-5, and this is where they stayed, eking out a living as a shop keeper, and owners of the imfamous Fortune Bar.
The truth is Lucah and Jon weren't killers for hire, but information brokers. They could get you anything from government secrets to bootlegged movies and other media that were outlawed in certain parts of the universe. And in reality, they have not retired. You see the fortune bar is a front for a grand library of content, all collected and catalogued for the patrons, with regular live viewings, movie nights, and old hardware demonstrations.
After their decision to set up shop and give back to the people, there was a lot of trouble finding the correct location. Along the way they befriended many people who now work for the bar, and some who help with the demonstrations, acquisitions, and even collections for charity. Including a small, stunted feral prowler beast with one eye they dubbed Bagel. If it weren't for his dull fangs and irritable bowls, he'd probably try to eat them. Instead he delights in chewing into power cords and draining the power. Lucahjin, delighted in her wife's decision to stay at the bar and handle the live events, took one of her old torn up bomber jackets and turned it into her new revealing uniform, stating that she "wanted to show off her new hot wife to everyone." As for Lucah herself, she is not seen with weapons or armor, despite being constantly on the field. Maybe she has some stowed away, or maybe no one wants to fuck with the peppy lady in the veritable taco truck. Jon on the other hand always has her old Beam Saber by her side, despite shying away from field work, and having a team of workers ready to drop the hammer on anyone who threatens the bar patron's good time. Perhaps shes waiting for the right moment to get back on the horse despite her apprehension for field work, or maybe its for the jobs her two closest confidants put her up to where she usually has to pull them out of sticky situations.
