I just wanted to hop in and say a few things. So have a minimalistic Wesker Egg. Incoming rambling.
Honestly, I never thought art would ever be something I'd ever do. I took one college graphic design before college and web design courses and was always elected to make powerpoints while I was still in college. It wasn't something I was serious about.
The first time I ever did anything with art was a few slight edits for my fanganronpa game. Then after that I did some silly photoshops for some streamers (including Jon). Then I decided to bite the bullet and draw something for my game while relying heavily on references. I thought my drawing was terrible since I could see all of the flaws. Then Magfest came and I ran into Masae. I decided to show my amateurish drawings and she said it was great and told me to "Keep drawing." So I decided to do that and keep drawing.
The point I'm trying to make is that I honestly thought I was crap at art and drawing. But it was mostly due to never really trying and being scared. What I learned is that as long as you do your best, someone will appreciate it. And if you keep doing it, more people will appreciate it. It's like what my grandpa use to say "There's always some idiot who enjoys what you do."
If you think you can't do anything, prove it. If you want to do something, but feel like you can't, just do it and see what happens. You might just discover a talent and/or passion you never thought you had before. Take it from me, a programming and IT major who only just started art-ing THIS YEAR! I used my pencil for math, not art until now! That graphic design course I took like...7 years ago? I got a B on it. So just do it guys! GOSH!
