C is for CYBORG WOLFMAN FUCK YOU FUCK YEAH!!

First off sorry for the wall of text, but the last part is art advice so I understand if you wanna skip reading it out loud. So when I last uploaded one of these you mentioned you’d like if I did the whole alphabet. I appreciate the interest, it makes me feel happy, like finding out you received eleven chicken nuggets even though you only ordered ten. I actually have the bulk of the alphabet planned out. I just need to come up with ideas for Kirby Star Allies, Last Alert and Wacky Races (you’re killing me with some of these wack ass games homie), so I’m open to suggestions. I can only catch your streams on weekends so my upload schedule is gonna be poop.

Anyways, I’ve heard some artists here have felt hesitant to use references for their work. I personally believe art in all its forms exists in part to inspire others, so using the work of someone else for inspiration is by no means a cop out or disrespectful to the original artist or a sign of weakness. We all gotta learn somehow. On the flip side if you feel you’re relying too much on references, pop open your sketch book and draw something repeatedly from memory. Fill a page with hands, legs or boobs, and if something seems lacking, use it as motivation to get studying to better yourself. Keep proper muscle anatomy in mind and don’t lose your unique style. Art isn’t a simple hobby you can master in a few years, it’s a lifelong passion that reflects who you are and what you love and it grows and changes just as you do. We’ll always be our own worst critics but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be our own biggest fans.

Either I need to buy a scanner or make sure my damn phone is more centered when I take the pic...

I would totally get a nice flatbed scanner for ink and maker work that clean. Or invest in a digital SLR if you use larger paper and toy with photo techniques along with lighting.

Thanks for the tip! I might get a decent scanner once I move since I'll have more space. I only really need a basic one since I never bother with digital touch ups and draw everything on 8.5 by 11 inch paper.
