Little bit of trivia: This game was originally a fanmade My Little Pony game called My Little Pony: Fighting is Magic, but then after 2 years in development Hasbro sent them a C&D. Eventually the team working on it decided that instead of abandoning the concept, they decided to turn it into their own IP. This eventually lead to the team behind Skullgirls giving them the engine to use, and even Lauren Faust (who created the iteration of MLP that Fighting is Magic was based on) got involved with the character designs.
