Time for a bit of AC trivia. Daisy Mae is named after the US secondary-mortgage market Fannie Mae just as her grandma Joan is named after the Sow Joan Stalk Market. Timmy and Tommy Nook are actually not blood related to Tom, they are a pair of orphans Tom adopted off the street and called his nephews.
